is the story of 16 year old Sara Wilson whose life changes dramatically when she rescues a mysterious girl from the ocean, a girl who claims to have just swum around the world.
Sara races against time to discover why Gurl's skin continues to blister horribly and, at the same time, protect her newfound friend from Jacqueline, a woman who believes that Gurl witnessed Jacqueline push her drugged husband from their yacht to his watery death.
When Intensive Care Nurse Sis Francks and Sara finally discover who and what Gurl is, they steal an ambulance and while being pursued by the police in cars and helicopters, transport Gurl to her unexpected home.
